1、 Summary of periodic blowdown flash tank
Periodic blowdown expander is also called periodic blowdown expander. The waste water will be discharged from the boiler through the secondary expansion or blowdown regularly. The secondary steam is discharged into the atmosphere or used as a heat source, and the waste hot water is generally discharged into the sewage system through the sewage cooling pool.
The boiler sewage has the same working pressure and saturated water temperature under the same pressure as the boiler. A throttle valve is set in front of the periodic discharge expander to reduce the pressure, so as to expand and cool down in the periodic blowdown expander and separate the secondary steam. Therefore, the use of secondary steam and waste hot water as heat sources can recover part of the heat loss from boiler blowdown and improve boiler efficiency.
2、 Working process of periodic blowdown flash tank
The waste water from the boiler is evenly discharged into the blowdown flash tank. The discharged sewage makes a tangential movement in the cylinder diaphragm in the middle of the shell, and vaporizes into secondary steam immediately. After steam water separation by the upper shutter type steam water separator, it is led out through the outlet at the top of the regular discharge, and the remaining blowdown water is discharged through the water level regulating valve.

Continuous blowdown flash tank
Continuous blowdown expander is also called continuous blowdown expander, which should be designed and manufactured according to pressure vessel GB150-98. The continuous blowdown expander is connected with the continuous blowdown outlet of the boiler, which is used to depressurize and expand the boiler's continuous blowdown. The discharged sewage is separated into secondary steam and waste hot water by adiabatic expansion in the continuous blowdown expander, and then discharged after capacity expansion, pressure reduction and heat exchange. The secondary steam is led out by a special pipeline, and the waste hot water is regulated by floating ball level valve or overflow The heat energy can be recycled and reused. The heat source of steam and water is used as the heat source to improve the utilization rate of boiler heat. The continuous blowdown volume is automatically adjusted with the change of boiler feed water load to maintain a relatively stable blowdown rate. Therefore, the use of secondary steam and waste hot water as heat source can recover the heat loss from continuous blowdown of some boilers and improve boiler efficiency.

3、 Working process
The waste water from the boiler is continuously and evenly connected to the blowdown flash tank. The discharged sewage makes a tangential movement in the cylinder diaphragm in the middle of the shell, and vaporizes into secondary steam immediately. After the steam water separation is carried out through the upper hundred leaf window type steam water separator, it is introduced into the deaerator through the outlet at the top of the continuous drainage, and the remaining blowdown water is discharged through the water level regulating valve.
