Soft sediment

In all cooling water applications, slime, silt, sand, etc. may deposit on the inner surface of the heat exchange tube to form dirt, even when the flow rate reaches 2 m / s.

These deposits are generally soft and can be easily removed by using standard rubber balls and continuous operation at a cleaning frequency of 8 to 12 times per hour for each heat exchange tube.

Hard scale

In the circulating cooling water system using cooling tower or other open circulating cooling water systems, the hardness of carbonate increases due to evaporation and concentration of cooling water. When the limit carbonate hardness is exceeded, there will be crystallization precipitation on the surface of heat pipe to form hard and dense scale.

The annular coated steel sand rubber ball can be used to remove hard dirt. It is generally put into operation for several weeks. After the hard scaling on the inner wall of the pipe is improved, it is picked up and stored for future use. Then, it is put into normal standard rubber ball for continuous operation, which can prevent the formation of crystal hard scale on the inner wall of the pipe. In extremely hard water environment, we recommend that you use coated steel grit balls regularly. For example, it should be put into use once every 1 to 2 months.

Artificial coating

Copper based alloy has certain corrosion resistance in seawater. A protective film containing iron compound can be formed on the wall of copper pipe by artificial coating with ferrous sulfate, which can improve the corrosion resistance of copper pipe.

Before adding ferrous sulfate solution each time, it is recommended to clean the copper tube with the general standard rubber ball for 1 hour, so as to form a dense dark brown protective film and obtain the best comprehensive performance of heat transfer and corrosion prevention of copper pipe.

Anticorrosive material

Although titanium tubes and high performance stainless steel tubes have good corrosion resistance, compared with copper tubes, they are more likely to produce biofouling in seawater, because copper and other heavy metal ions have biological toxicity and can inhibit microbial growth.

In this case, it is recommended to use grinding rubber ball to clean each heat exchange tube continuously at the cleaning frequency of 8-10 per hour. In addition, plastic coated ball should be used once every few months to avoid high viscous biofouling.
